Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019: Everything to know + Exclusive Sneak Peeks/ Shopping tips

Hello beautifuls!! It's officially that time of year again - THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE!!! Eek, I am seriously so excited because this is one of my most favorite sales of the year, plus I've been patiently waiting for the sale ever since January hehe. For those who don't know much about this sale, basically Nordstrom holds a huge Fall sale *online and in store* (Women's Fashion, Men's Fashion, Home Decor, Accessories, and Kids clothing) every July to share pieces that are going to be in the upcoming fall collection for that year. This sale isn't past/ older items, it's NEW stuff that you will definitely see this fall in their catalogs (that's why the hype is so real haha)! I always get so over the moon about this sale because, #1, I find lots of my Christmas gifts, and #2, fall staples. As many of you know, I am heading out to college in less than a month so shopping this sale will definitely help me find those more "warmer" pieces I'll need for snowy Utah! You're probably wondering, when can I shop this sale?!! Nordstrom has two different dates when you can shop the sale. The first date to shop is July 12th through the 18th and that is for Nordstrom Cardholders ONLY! You can apply to sign up for a Nordstrom Credit Card HERE if you'd like to shop this sale earlier, but that's 100% personal, and up to you. The second date to shop is when it's open to the public so you don't need a Nordstrom Card (aka: credit card), and the dates to shop that is July 19th through August 4th. The sale officially ends on August 5th and then all the prices go back up to the normal price. Many items sell out very, very quickly (I know from 5+ experience shopping haha) so be sure to grab the items you really love before they're gone. I did some hunting this week on Nordstrom's website and found lots of pieces that I'd like to share down below as well as some shopping tips that I know will be extremely helpful while shopping this sale! 1. Write a list of things that you're looking for in the sale
With all the great deals, this sale is 100% overwhelming and it's very easy to overspend. By making a list of things you're looking to buy, it can make your shopping experience both stress free, and you'll be more mindful.
2. Shop quickly!!
If you have a wishlist of items you REALLY want, you're going to want to shop QUICK!! I know this tip may sound so obvious, but honestly the N Sale stuff tends to always sell out super fast every year. One way of assuring that you get those items you'd like is to apply for a Nordstrom Credit Card so you can get early access to the sale. This is definitely a personal decision, but I know from experience that applying for this card gives many benefits, and assures that you can get what you want out of the sale.
3. Shop through Liketoknow.It app
Liketoknow.It is honestly one of my favorite social platforms to get inspo, shop, and just make wishlists. Be sure to check on the LTK.it app to shop this sale, because you'll be surprised on how many great items you can find on there instead of scrolling through the Nordstrom website. 4. Shop both online and in stores!!
One thing I love about this sale is that you can shop not only in stores, but online. I HIGHLY recommend you all to shop/buy both online and in stores because if you're looking for specifics, both places could have what you're looking for. I also think online is great if you don't want to be in huge crowds at the actual sale :)
5. Buy what sells out the most first
This is a tip I've learned throughout shopping this Nordstrom sale, and is by far the best advice I can give you all. We all know some brands that just sell out quick, so be sure to snatch those items before browsing through other things. **Things that tend to sell out quick: Barefoot Dream Cardigans, Tennis Shoes (Nike, Adidas, etc), Fall Booties, and Fall sweaters**

Last month I wanted to test out some new makeup, and picked some Hourglass goodies up at the Nordstrom counter. This Ambient Light powder (shown above) is absolutely phenomenal. I love the texture, and how it adds back a youthful glow/ light to my skin. I really liked how this product wasn't cakey like other powders I've tried. Another Hourglass product I tested this month was their Ultra Slim High intensity lipstick in the shade "one day". I chose this shade because the color is nude enough to wear without putting a lip gloss on top. One last product I enjoyed this month was the L'oreal Lash Paradise Mascara. I've talked about this before on my blog, and it still continues to be on my favorites practically every month (hehe)! I adore the price point, and in my opinion works better than higher end mascaras!
This product isn't totally "beauty related" but I did have to add it because this made my hair look amazing ALL MONTH LONG! This Living Proof Dry Volume Blast spray totally gives your hair the volume it deserves. I used this spray for graduation and it stayed in very well. For UNDER $25 it's a steal!
